The ICTA is thrilled to welcome Barbara Pool Fenzl CCP to the Southwest Culinary Tourism Symposium roster. Ms. Fenzl is the owner of Les Gourmettes Cooking School in Phoenix, Arizona, past-president of the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP), renowned writer and author of 3 books on Southwest Cuisine including her most recent: Seasonal Southwest Cooking (Northland Publishing, 2005; pictured, right - browse and purchase this and other culinary tourism books in our Bookstore ), celebrity chef with many notable television and radio appearances, and acclaimed chef and cooking instructor.
Ms. Fenzl will be presenting the luncheon session entitled: Who Owns Southwest Cuisine? The Importance of Regional Food & Beverage Branding. She joins an already impressive list of speakers including:

As many of you noticed in the February 19th edition of Travel Agent Magazine, the secret slipped out: the ICTA is in fact currently working on the development of a culinary tourism certification program - actually two programs - the Certified Culinary Tourism Associate (CCTA) and the Certified Culinary Tourism Professional (CCTP) [sample of certification logo at left].
